My cousin was going through some of my grandpa's stuff and sent me a box. Lots of cool pics and what not, but there was a watch in there as well and now I need to find out some info.

It looks to be in decent shape so probably not old. Since I am a total watch noob any help in which direction I can go to find info would be greatly appreciated (my Google fu has left me...)
Thanks in advance.

Hi, welcome. As the back says that it has a Japanese movement in it, I'd guess that it is a Miyota movement; they're okay, but have no particular value, I'm afraid. The case isn't solid gold, so the value of the watch (aside from sentiment) would be very low, I'm afraid. Milan isn't a main brand, so this would seem to be a nice looking, but day-to-day, sort of watch. If you pop into your local jeweller, I'm sure they can put in a new push pin to hold the strap on (should be a very minor cost). Battery change at same time? Enjoy it.

I have to tools to fix it but wanted to make sure it wasn't something nice that I should have someone else work on. I plan on cleaning it up and wearing it in rotation with my other watches. Thanks for the info.
