Recently picked this up cheaply and it's running nicely.
Ladies 28mm excluding crown. Not too sure of it age.

Don't worry about the vertical lines on the enamel dial they are just reflections.
Looked all over the movement and it only seems to have the Swiss made stamp on it.
Looks like the AS 137 cal you see in so many Trench watches.

Great strap that is in good order. Loops through the lugs then threads back through a leather loop to tighten. Buckle and tang good. Think there must be a name for this type of strap?

No marks on the case except for this?

Despite it's small size it looks okay in close up on my wrist but this watch is not for me.Handsome watch if I can call it that for a ladies! Nice blued hands.

Regards,

Very nice. It might not be a ladies' watch - it doesn't look particularly feminine.

+1.....I`m not sure it is a ladies either, most of the ladies one`s i have seen have small gold dots adjacent to the hour markers on the outside of the chapter ring,so could very well be a mans.

Nice piece I suspect ladies, based on size of other ladies pieces, but I man in those days could wear it too. I dont think the strap style has a specific name, but I did find the patent for it a while back. Will look if I can find it A

Thanks Marrick and Apollonaught, I agree it's not particularly feminine in looks, the case is gun metal not gold or silver and the dial is plain although most men's would have had a sub dial I would think! Perhaps it could be called "boys" but would that be a term used for the period this watch comes from? Thanks also Adam, Could you hazard a guess at it age. To me the hands suggest the 30's but the movement could be as early as the 1910's, but not sure. Regards,

I wouldn't say ladies with that plain case and dial but could have been worn by either. Size doesn't prove anything either way for that time period. Lack of sub dial isn't conclusive. Date wise 1918 to say mid twenties.

In my opinion watch is 1915/16s to maybe early 20s. Never 30s Regards
