The military issued Smiths W10 is a watch I've wanted to add to my collection for a long time. Not just because it's the last mechanical watch made in England but also because I'm made in England myself.
Mine was produced in 1968, houses the Smiths 60466E movement, measures a perfect 36mm, has fixed springbars and looks great!
Is there any way to find out who the watch was issued to?

Congrats on the new arrival. One of my favourite watches.... I dont think you will be able to find out who it was issued to (unless the seller knew or was the person in question). My 1969 says hi... Enjoy.

Wow...Very nice - congrats. And photos of the packaging - awesome. When the postman brings me a package it is more like a kid at Christmas with flying papers and boxes, than a civilized unwrapping with time for pictures.
