  1. I'd really appreciate someone else's thoughts on a new custom strap. I'm buying one for my Hublot Bang King Ice. I want something with a bit more personality. I'm not very good at imagining what the end product will look like so I'm fishing for thoughts here. Let's avoid "the Hublot issue" [emoji6] The option I like the most is the grey alligator for the outside with the red cane toad as the liner, a subtle color with a flash of bright from the inside. The other photo is a couple other gator options he has. - N8 - N8
  2. I always wonder if these courses in actuality will be very well attended by the fake manufactures to hone their craft. - N8
  3. I agree, on a dive watch, a well engineered rubber Strap makes good sense and is insanely comfortable. - N8

    Fan of Hublot

I just bought my first Hublot last week. It grows on me more and more daily. Love the look, size, and brilliant engineering and materials. Awesome piece of time telling engineering. While I logically understand the arguments, I do not see nor understand the reason for all the haters of the brand. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Fake. Serial/model should be laser engraved. I've removed the serial, but you get the idea...
  6. I'm looking into getting a new strap for my Hublot Big Bang King Ice 322. I'm not very good at imagining what it'll look like with the various materials and colors. Anybody have any experience with k-straps and/or photos of their products? I'm leaning towards something like the blue alligator or carbon fiber. Any thoughts/opinions greatly appreciated!! 7. After a DSSD as my daily wearer, the magic ended. I appreciate Rolex, I really do.... I found myself craving something far less conservative and far less traditional. I'm not the type who likes things simply because others do not. It's a bit simplistic, but I like what I like. It's involuntary, the heart wants what the heart wants and make no apologies for it. And so a couple days ago I bought, you guessed it, a Hublot Big Bang King Ice 322. I love it more and more every time I strap it on. I adore this timepiece. I'm not a member of the watch elite. I love really nice watches, all of them. On the subject of vintage watches however... I'm not a fan. On that subject I actually do feel bad about it. I feel I should love them. I've tried so hard, but nothing [emoji57] this is weird because I also like very expensive tobacco pipes, a world were "estate pipes" dominate. I'm a 43yr old guy in Alabama on disability with a bad back of biblical proportions. I'm into watches, pipes, and astronomy/deep space astrophotography. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I really do not like these pecking order talks. These pieces should be taken on a watch by watch basis. Compare timepiece to timepiece vs brand to brand. I think it does a great disservice and creates a false sense of elitism among wearers and collectors.... But what the f do I know [emoji6] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I just bought a Big Bang King Ice. I get that most aren't fans which is the way I like it and part of the attraction.... Though I honestly don't get how you couldn't like them. I'd been wearing a DSSD for awhile daily and craved something far less conservative and far less conventional... More radical. I LOVE it more and more everyday. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. I just did this move... I'd venture a guess that 99% of you would disagree strongly with my move, but I traded mine with a dealer for a single watch. I haven't regretted it one bit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
