  1. I see it has screws, but I don't think it's like Rolex (1 long screw) I think it's 2 screws one on each side of the bracelet with a pin in the middle...and those screws are tiny so don't loose one. Maybe just go to an AD or competent watch store. They might do for free or $10-20
  2. Last night I decided to pop into a Tag boutique...not really interest in Tag, but just wanted to check it out (I'm a Rolex/Omega/Panerai kind of guy). The first 3 watches I looked at the sales person said "That's a limited edition"...that's a "boutique only edition" oh and that is the "imited to this location boutique" blah blah blah" Seems like everything is some "Special".."Limited"..."Boutique" edition... Not impressed by fake limited numbers Just make watches with a couple options....Speedmaster ....PO....Constelation Stop with all this Boutique BS
  3. Looks good to me....I guess those Romans are something that must be seen in person. I'll wait to give thumbs up or down until then. Not that it matters unless I hit the lottery
  4. If you tried on the Daytona and don't need a date...then maybe. If you are used to the EXP II at 42mm...the Daytona will feel small and underwhelming. Make sure you like in person...looks bigger in pics Like others have said take your time....there are a million Daytona's out there. There will always be another one if that is the move you want to make. Good luck
  5. So I got a Beater anyway. I figured why not, not that I am overly worried about damaging any of my watches...but I really did need something to use for running. Tried that once with DSSD and couple times with GMTc...too much bouncing and sliding around on the wrist. First I looked at the cheap-o digital's....then looked at some G-shocks.....was actually "Shocked" that some of them can cost over $500...but the ones I was looking at were in the $80-$120 range, but didn't like how they are so big and too futuristic looking. I wound up with a Luminox all "Blacked Out" analog quartz with date. Very cool looking watch, very light weight. She gave me a decent price and I got it...wasn't really looking to spend even that much for a beater but you how could a WIS be caught wearing a $40 digital
  6. So for the past 15 years I have not owned any other watch than a Rolex / Omega and/or Panerai. I have never worried about wearing any of my watches anywhere, anytime doing any activity...within reason. Beach, ocean, pool, running, hiking, riding bike, volley ball...never worried about scratches, bezel popping out, the welded bracelet breaking or anything like that. It didn't matter if I was wearing SS or TT...I just wore and didn't think about it. Now all of a sudden I am thinking about buying a beater like a G Shock or Luminox. Why do I feel this way, is it b/c the new watches with ceramic bezel...polished links...weld spot on bracelet, heavier (bouncing around more if running) or is b/c they cost a lot more than they did 10 years ago. Does anyone have a story about banging or dropping a ceramic bezel that didn't crack. I hate that I am going against my own advice to others (not to worry about it and just wear it)

  8. If it's your only watch....Black I own the Blue stick and love it....but I have been though multiple Watches and have 4 currently....3 with a black dials (SD, GMT II and Speedmaster) But if you really love the blue, in a year or so you could always do a dial change and it's fairly inexpensive from RSC. The other day I saw a pic of a DJ II / Smooth bezel / dark grey Roman see if you can try one of those on. I don't like that dial with the flutted bezel but with the smooth bezel it looked really great Good luck
