  1. I will always take a black dial over a white one... but the great white is certainly a stand out watch. Have you seen the new Vancouver Olympic White dial SMP? http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=68715
  2. 8500 would make sense and why make this limited I wonder? Just an intro to the market I guess to test the waters?
  3. I'm a huge fan of this new Solar Impulse Titanium Speedmaster GMT with Saphire crystal and a date function as well! The carbon fiber dial and caseback is certainly eye catching (though I would have to see it in the flesh to really appreciate it I'm sure) and the caseback lettering and logo really stand out. The retail according to a few ADs is around $8000 USD but then you get what you pay for right? Just in case anyone here has not heard of this new Titanium Speedmaster from Omega here are the details... Rhodium plated finish and gold plated engravings. Officially certified chronometer. Power Reserve: 55 hours CRYSTAL Scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on both sides CASE & DIAL Titanium case Black Carbon fibre dial WATER RESISTANCE Down to: 100 meters 330 feet size Gents Case Diameter: 44.25 mm http://www.omegawatches.com/index.ph...001&no_cache=1
  4. What a way to make an introduction! Welcome to TRF and please post some more pics of that beautiful piece of yours...
  5. Though the idea of the Canadian SMP really appeals to me I have been able to try one on and it just does'nt smile at me... if you like it then I would go for it as it is limited edition and pretty unique. Switching out the bezel is a great idea as well! I think black would look much sharper on this baby... Here is all the info on it: http://www.omegawatches.com/index.ph...001&no_cache=1
  6. Very nice watch with a hell of a history... I like the chrono as well.
  7. Nice to see you over here and beautiful shots of that fine collection!
  8. They have them locally here as well I have even seen a few Rolex datejusts and a GMT or two over the years!
  9. That is some good work from the SC for sure! 8 years is a long time to own a watch and it must have some good memories attached so perhaps this is is a keeper then...
  10. Great review! Those particular models are both highly wearable but for completely different reasons... if you really like the blue face of your Fish then maybe you should consider the SMP Chrono?
  11. Paid, Can I ask your opinion on this Alpha?: http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...MakeTrack=true Why is it called the Paul Newman watch? Seems like a good deal and I don't even mnd the hand winding, it reminds me of my Speedmaster! Thanx, Ren
  12. Excellent review and I'm glad you are enjoying that beast... impressive to say the least!
