  1. Some ADs have in-house watch-makers, and they could likely do a small repair. I'd take it to a Rolex AD initially, but call and explain first, so you don't waste your time, if they are just going to say they can only send it to the RSC.

  4. I think everyone needs to cool off a bit. Having read the thread, this is clearly not a 'fake' project, and although it's a sensitive issue using genuine Rolex parts, the OP has fully explained his intentions openly, and I don't see a problem with it. Also, to be fair, I don't see any insults or rudeness either. Just my take on it.
  5. try to find a decent independent watch-maker who should be able to sort it out - or take it back to where it was bought
