Recommended Posts

AP firstly launched the Royal Oak concept GMT Tourbillion watch with titanium watchcase, white ceramic watch bezel, buckle and Movement Bridge and then later bring about this outstanding Royal Oak offshore diver watch, adopted fascinating white design and ultra-hard, ultra-light composite material, which is the best partner to probe the secret of the ocean.

Waterproof to a depth of 150 meters, the watch equipped with antimagnetic case and debuted as the new member among the Royal Oak offshore diver family.  Its watchcase is hold in place with 8 hexagonal head screws. The Diver watch is rigged with a time pre-selection device (NIHS92-11 norm) with stainless steel or black ceramic to choose from. The white super ceramic adopting in this year made the scratch-resistant rating of bezel, case, button and crown (VIKER hardness: 1300) exceed 40% to the black ceramic (VIKER hardness: 1300). In fact, the hardness of white ceramic is 9 times than the stainless steel which means the process of these components is long and complex. For example, the stainless steel watchcase is made by 1.5 hours, but now it will spend 12 hours. And the stainless steel manufactured by 45 minutes, the latest design will last 8 hours. Due to the scratch-resistance of the ceramic itself is extremely high, so in the edge of the rough surface and polishing or fog surface grinding, is absolute a huge technical challenge.

The internal bezel adjuster at 10 o’clock can increase the watch functionality meanwhile retaining the traditional aesthetics of octagonal design. After screw-down the crown can take precautions against the accident to cause diving time changes. The watchcase prevent from the external influence with the protective internal rotation device. Waterproof to a depth of 150 meters, with antimagnetic case and perfectly entered into the list of the Royal Oak offshore diver family.
