Star Seeker or Standard Date?

Recommended Posts

I have been looking at the Orient Star line online for quite some time, I really like the look of the Star Seeker GMT with the white dial, but I am really intrigued by the SAR (super AR) on the new Standard Date. My experience with timepieces with AR is that it really makes them "pop". Does anyone have experience with both of these models, to comment on how much superior the SAR coating is to their standard AR like is on the Star Seeker?

It really makes a big difference. It's pretty much like there isn't any glass. I've been wearing the white one for a while now and have to say, the SAR definitely takes away most of the reflections.

The 2 Stars are hard to compare as they are different in style and function.

i have the black star seeker and the white standard date. the SAR is indeed leaps and bounds ahead of regular AR coatings. The dial on the standard date really stands out. the star seeker also stands out, but for different reasons.
