YdYUTd 0
Is it possible to change the date on the GMT II quickly like I'd do with my Datejust or Sub? If not what's the alternative to quickly change the date without having to do it one hour at a time? Thanks guys.
Rucyil 1
With the crown halfway out, the hour hand can be set, and every 24 hours of its rotation will advance the date by one day. If the crown is pulled to the fully out position (for time setting) all three hands will advance and you will have to advance to the correct date by advancing the hands 24 hours for each date change. Only "lesser" (and I use that term jokingly because I prefer those for my individual needs) GMT's have a quick change date feature.
Louis 6
For me I found that the best way to change the date is the have the crown pulled out to the first position, which is the same position as changing the GMT hour, and rotating it 24 hours for each day. If only there was a quicker way.
George 0
Some "real" GMTs let you waggle the hour hand back and forth over midnight to speed things up a little. Does the Rolex movement do that?
Conier 1
I guess I'll let my blnr sit for a few days and then adjust the date when it's closer to the date on the watch..not feeling like turning the hour hand for 40 full turns (20 days X 2 full turn/24 hours). MJ1958 1
You may find this useful Setting the Rolex Explorer II Red 24-hour hand For the Explorer II so should be relevant for the GMT but maybe not so much for the Sub or DJ.
