Robert 0
I recently purchased this watch at an Ebay auction for $1200 and it just came in. I don't have much experience in older Rolex watches and would like a second opinion. The dial on it looks nearly immaculate- no discoloration on it and does not have "Precision" written on the bottom half of the dial. The seconds hand sweeps, but the watch ticking sound can be heard from over a foot away. Thanks in advance to anyone who helps me with this.
Adams1985 1
Dial does not look an original Rolex dial to me What are numbers between lugs at 6 and 12 oclock? To 100% confirm if fake, you will need a movement shot A
dancingter 0
The numbers are obscured by the bracelet- on 12 o'clock, it says "Oyster Precision" between the lugs
steelmind 1
I don't think I ever saw a model name between lugs. At 12 oclock should be a model number and 6 oclock a serial numbers. It all gets more suspicious!
dsaffdg 0
Correction- I removed the bracelet and in between the 12 o'clock lugs it says "REGISTERED DESIGN" 6694 Between the 6 o'clock lugs it says "STAINLESS STEEL" 3440227 My apologies
Conier 1
That makes sense and is correct. Serial number dates to Q4 CY 1971 But model 6694 should look like these: https://www.google.com/search?q=ROLE...IVjKCACh3FRgtQ So probably just a redial, but only movement photo can confirm A
