Hello all. This was my Great Grandfathers IWC pocket watch. He passed in the 1920's and that's about all I know about him or the watch. Anyone have any idea of age or model? Also I need to source I crystel for it. Any suggestions?

Any watchmaker should be able to fit a crystal to that case. They were standard sized, just can't tell the size from your photographs. ....................and a bit of info on the patent no. from the I.W.C forum sight...... "The 31457 is the patent number for IWC's patent of May 1904 for their barrel-bridge winding construction" Cheers,

Funnily enough I was doing a bit of work on my IWC page about that patent just this morning. It is not actually a patent for a "barrel-bridge winding construction" (whatever one of those might be) it is actually a patent for a form of stop work. See IWC, the International Watch Co..
