I bought my L2.648.4.78.6 in April, today I will introduce my experience of demagnetization.
This watch runs of the error +10s everyday within the error rate, I did not notice and feel good about it. Yesterday I saw a thread about the problem of magnetization. I was curious to my watch. So I decided to check my watch.
At first, I found a compass to test and the watch definitely made the needle move a bit. Then I started to bone up some knowledge of demagnetizing. There are a lot of demagnetizer on the Internet with different reputation, so I have not purchased it. I know a principle that weakened the alternating current can demagnetize the watch because of my work. And the electro-motor is an equipment turning electric energy into the energy. I had the electro - motor and would like to demagnetize the watch. After a series of groping, the watch runs +3s everyday.

Here are the operation process:

Put the compass on horizontal position

The watch is magnetized if the needle moved to right

A electro - motor with 180 W, discharged the cover, took out the rotor

Motor stator, plugged into an electric power with hum.

In order to avoid errors, used a stainless steel bar to close magnet to magnetize it.

The bar approaches to compass, the needle deviates, the bar is magnetized.

Put the bar into motor stator, plugs the electric power, you can feel the bar shaking in your hands, then shift out from the center of stator.

Put the bar to close the compass again, the needle does’t move, demagnetization is proved
Successful.

Wrap the watch into center(avoid touching the inner wall of motor), after plugging the electric power, shift the watch from motor.

The watch closes to compass, the needle remains quiescent.
